New Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates presents credentials

VIENNA, 13 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations (Vienna), H.E. Mr. Hamad Al Kaabi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career Mr. Al Kaabi has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Austria and Permanent Representative to UN organizations in Vienna (2016); Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); Special Representative for International Nuclear Cooperation (since 2008); Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management, Federal Authority of Nuclear Regulation, United Arab Emirates.

Mr. Al Kaabi has represented the Government of the United Arab Emirates in multiple UN and multilateral forums including the Non-Proliferation Treaty review conferences, and the Nuclear Security Summit series.

Mr. Al Kaabi holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University in Indiana (United States).
