VIENNA, 2 February (UN Information Service) - The United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) invites the media to its Public Dialogues in Fukushima Prefecture, on 9 and 10 February 2016.
A team of experts will present the findings of the UNSCEAR 2015 White Paper, a follow up to its 2013 Report "Levels and Effects of Radiation Exposure due to the nuclear accident after the 2011 great east-Japan earthquake and tsunami".
Speakers include: Malcolm Crick (Secretary, UNSCEAR); Mikhail Balonov (Expert) and Gillian Hirth (Expert) who will present information on the levels of radiation exposure and the associated health and environmental effects.
Consecutive translation into Japanese will be available. Copies of the 2013 Report and the 2015 White Paper are available (also in Japanese) on UNSCEAR's website at http://www.unscear.org/unscear/en/publications.html
