New Permanent Representative of Australia presents credentials

VIENNA, 5 November (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Australia to the United Nations Office (Vienna), Richard Travers Sadleir, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career, Mr. Sadleir has served in various capacities, among them:

First Assistant Secretary, International Security Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2016-present); First Assistant Secretary, National Security Division, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (2011-2016); First Assistant Director-General, Legal Division, Attorney General Department (2006-2011); Assistant Secretary, International Organizations Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2004-2006); Assistant Secretary, Defence, Security and Intelligence, Department of Defence (2002-2004); First Secretary, then Counsellor, Embassy in Washington D.C. (1998-2001); and Second Secretary, then First Secretary, Australian High Commission, Wellington (1995-1996).

Mr. Sadleir holds a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
