    Event at the Vienna International Centre to celebrate Chinese Language Day

    VIENNA, 30 April (UN Information Service) - Representatives of the media are invited to the celebration of the 2019 Chinese Language Day "Colourful China, Embracing the World" at the United Nations in Vienna organized bythe VIC Chinese Culture Association and the Chinese Culture Association in Austria and supported by the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Vienna.

    The event will start at 12.30 p.m. on Monday 6 th May in the Rotunda of the Vienna International Centre.

    Speakers include: Ambassador Wang Qun from the Permanent Mission of China, Li Yong, Director General, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Martin Nesirky, Director, United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Vienna, Zhang Jinyin, Vice Mayor of Puyang Municipal City and Zhu Tao, President of Rongbaozhai.

    There will be an exhibition in the rotunda featuring: Beijing Rongbaozhai; Confucius Institute of the University of Vienna; Yangtze River Delta Literature and Art Development Alliance; Inheritors of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

    There will be short performances by Huaxia Weifeng Orchestra, Chinese Opera Performance Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Henan Acrobatics Group, amongst others.
