 Message from the main Vienna International Centre organizations

 VIENNA, 11 November (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs). 

The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported today that three people who work at the VIC tested positive for SARS CoV-2.

Two people work for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and one person for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). In one case there was no workplace exposure and in two cases close contacts have been informed.

The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 144, of whom 123 work at the VIC. Of the total of 144 personnel, 100 have recovered.

The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
