Message from the main Vienna International Centre organizations
VIENNA, 23 November (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs).
The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported that three people who work for organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) tested positive for SARS CoV-2.
One person works for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and another for the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNOV/UNODC). There was no workplace exposure in either case. A third person works for the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), but not in Austria.
The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 167, of whom 141 work at the VIC. Of the total of 167 personnel, 130 have recovered.
The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
