Permanent Representative of Malaysia presents credentials

VIENNA, 21 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations (Vienna), Ikram bin Mohd Ibrahim, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During his career, Mr. Mohd Ibrahim has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador-designate to Austria (2021); High Commissioner to Pakistan (2018); Undersecretary (Multilateral Security and International Organisations), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (2015); Minister, Embassy of Malaysia in Washington D.C, United States (2013); Counsellor, Embassy of Malaysia in Brussels, Belgium (2010); Principal Assistant Secretary (Disarmament), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (2008); Special Officer to the Secretary-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (2007); First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations, New York, United States (2005); Second Secretary, Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations, New York, United States (2003); Assistant Secretary (International Organisations), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (2000); Assistant Secretary (OIC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (1997); Assistant Secretary (International Organisations), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (1996); Administrative and Diplomatic Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (1996).

Mr. Mohd Ibrahim holds a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute for Public Administration, Malaysia and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia.

Mr. Mohd Ibrahim is married and has four children.
