GlobE Network Members Meeting

Creating a community of anti-corruption practitioners

VIENNA, 12 November 2021 – The newly launched Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) will hold its first Members Meeting next week, to begin the work of building a community of anti-corruption authorities across the globe for faster, more efficient prosecution of transnational corruption cases.

The three-day event will gather anti-corruption authorities from 43 different countries to establish the Network’s governance structure, adopt elements of a charter, discuss delivery of the one-stop virtual hub, and enhance synergies with other anti-corruption networks. The meeting will be chaired by Spain and its three anti-corruption authorities who were the first to join the GlobE Network after the official launch on 3 June 2021 during the UN General Assembly special session against corruption (UNGASS).

Ms. Ghada Waly, Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, will open the meeting.
