VIENNA, 2 June (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations (Vienna), Larbi Latroch, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Latroch has served in various capacities, among them:
Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic (2022-present); Director General of Protocol, Foreign Ministry (2020-2021); Ambassador to Angola, Sao Tome and Principe with residence in Luanda, Angola (2014-2020); Director of Human Resources, Foreign Ministry (2009-2014); General Consul in Istanbul, Türkiye (2004-2009); Deputy Director of Sustainable Development, General Directorate of Multilateral Relations, Foreign Ministry (2003-2004); Minister Counsellor, Embassy in Berlin, Germany (1999-2003); Deputy Director of Communication, Deputy Spokesperson, Foreign Ministry (1995-1999); Head of Office of sub-regional Organizations, General Directorate Africa, Foreign Ministry (1994-1995); Counsellor, Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique (1990-1994) and Secretary, General Directorate Europe, Foreign Ministry (1986-1990).
Mr. Latroch is married and has four children.

The new Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations (Vienna), Toufique Hasan, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
With the deposit of the instrument of accession at the UN Headquarters in New York, Bahrain becomes the sixteenth State Party to the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, also known as the "Singapore Convention on Mediation".
