New Permanent Representative of Somalia presents credentials

VIENNA, 15 April (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Somalia to the United Nations (Vienna), Khadra Ahmed Dualeh, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During her career Ms. Dualeh, who is also Ambassador to Austria and Switzerland, has served in various capacities.

She organized the President of Somalia’s engagement at the World Economic Forum 2025, Davos, Switzerland (2025). Ms. Dualeh served as Minister of Commerce and Industry, Federal Government of Somalia. She has had leadership roles in the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Interior and Federal Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the Federal Government of Somalia and was Director of Professional Development, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.

Ms. Dualeh holds a Master of Arts in International Education from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies from Buffalo State University, United States.

She speaks Arabic and English.
