This year the Report has a special focus on the threat to public health from the deadly proliferation of synthetic drugs. The International Narcotics Control Board Report analyses the rapid expansion of synthetic drug manufacture, marketing and consumption and what steps can be taken to counter them.
The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) 2024 Annual Report analyses the global availability of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical and scientific purposes and highlights the persistent disparities in access to medicines for the treatment of pain. The Precursors Report focuses on trafficking the precursor chemicals used in illicit drug manufacture including amphetamines, non-medical synthetic opioids, and cocaine which represent a growing threat to public health.
