New Permanent Representative of Hungary
Presents Credentials
VIENNA, 7 December (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Hungary, Balázs Csuday, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Mr Csuday has served in various capacities in the course of his career with the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them: Counselor at the Delegation of the European Commission to the International Organizations in Vienna (2009-2010); First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Hungary to the United Nations in New York (2004-2009); Legal Advisor, Department on EU Co-operation in Justice and Home Affairs (2002-2004); Special Assistant and Legal Advisor, Under Secretary of State Secretary responsible for South Eastern Europe, post-Soviet region, Central Europe and Consular Affairs (2000-2002); Legal Advisor, Department on Strategic and Planning Affairs (1998-2000).
Mr Csunday holds a Master of Laws in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University and a Master of Arts in International Law and Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of the Spanish Foreign Ministry. He graduated from the Budapest Faculty of Law.
He is married with two daughters.
