United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to Visit Slovenia

Media invited to press conference

VIENNA, 16 July (UN Information Service) -United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Slovenia for a bilateral visit from 19-20 July 2012.

The Secretary-General will meet with the President of Slovenia Danilo Türk, Prime Minister Janez Janša and President of the National Assembly Gregor Virant.

Media representatives are invited to attend a joint press conference of the Secretary-General with Prime Minister Janez Janša.

Venue: in front of Vila Podrožnik, Cesta 27. aprila 59, Ljubljana

Date and time: Friday 20 July 2012, 13:15 (please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance)

Media representatives require ACCREDITATION BADGES provided by the Slovenian Government Communication Office. Media representatives should register and apply for accreditation for the event through the Online Media Accreditation System of the Slovenian Government Communication Office: http://akreditacije.ukom.gov.si/index.php?id=1&L=1

The deadline for media accreditation is TUESDAY, 17 July 2012, 20:00.

The accreditation badges will be distributed to media representatives on WEDNESDAY, 18 July 2012, between 10:00 and 13:00, and on THURSDAY, 19 July 2012, between 10:00 and 13:00, at the Slovenian Government Communication Office, Gregorciceva ulica 25, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

NOTE: In case of bad weather the event will be in the press centre of the Governmental Palace (Gregorciceva 20, Ljubljana, Slovenia). In this case, for security reasons, the media representatives that are the holders of accreditation badges provided by Slovenian Government Communication Office, still have to present a valid ID document and go through the security check before entering the Governmental Palace. They should therefore arrive at least 30 minutes before the event begins.
