VIENNA, 28 February (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations (Vienna), Li Song, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Li has served in various positions, among them:
Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva (2018-2023); Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy in South Africa (2015-2018); Minister Counsellor, Mission of China to the European Union (2012-2014); Counsellor and Deputy Director-General, Department of Arms Control, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2012); Counselor, Permanent Mission to the United Nations (2003-2006); Third Secretary, Deputy Director and Director, Department of Arms Control, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997-2003); Attaché and Third Secretary, Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva (1995-1997); and Attaché, Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1992-1995).
Mr. Li is a graduate of China Foreign Affairs University.
He is married and has one daughter.

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Singapore’s national space office, the Office for Space Technology & Industry of Singapore (OSTIn), have agreed to collaborate under the "Space Law for New Space Actors" project.
