VIENNA, 5 October (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Italy to the United Nations (Vienna), Debora Lepre presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Lepre has served in various capacities, among them:
Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers (2021-2023); served at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Office of the Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Council of Ministers (2018-2021); First Counsellor, Trade Policy Coordinator, Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union (2015-2018); Trade Counsellor, Embassy Counsellor and First Counsellor, Embassy in Berlin (2011-2013); Chief of Office for the Strategies on internationalization of the economic system, Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2011); Chief of Office for the internationalization of enterprises, General Directorate for Economic and Financial Multilateral Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009-2010); First Commercial Secretary, later Legation Counsellor in Moscow (2006-2009) Second Secretary, then First Secretary in Paris (2002-2006).
Ms. Lepre holds a law degree from the University of Trieste.
She speaks English, French and German.
