New Books Promoting a Just and Equal World to Be Launched

VIENNA, 19 December (UN Information Service) -- The Eco-social Forum Austria will launch the book "Paths to a just world -- Radio Ö1-Features by Johannes Kaup" on Wednesday, 21 December, at 10.30 hours, in the ballroom of the Diplomatic Academy, Vienna, Austria.

The book, the content of which UNIS Vienna has contributed to, contains interviews with and articles by United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan; the President of the Eco-social Forum Europe, Franz Fischler; Chairperson of ATTAC Austria, Karin Küblböck; Franz Josef Radermacher, Elfriede Schachner, Jakob von Uexkuell, Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker and others.

The book will be presented together with the latest edition of the Global Marshall Plan Initiative publication "Hope Europe", with contributions by Jeremy Rifkins, Margot Wallström, Wolfgang Schüssel, Franz Fischler, and others. The Global Marshall Plan Initiative supports the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

The book launch will feature a round table discussion chaired by the author Johannes Kaup, a journalist of ORF. Among the participants are Franz Fischler, the President of Caritas Austria, Franz Küberl, as well as Karin Küblböck, and Josef Riegler, Honorary President of the Eco-social Forum Europe.
