New Permanent Representative of Israel presents credentials

VIENNA, 21 November (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations Office (Vienna), Mordechai Denis Paul Rodgold presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career, Mr. Rodgold has served in various capacities, among them:

Director of the Information & Visual Media Department, Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011- present); Counsellor, European Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011); Vice President, Business Development, Renewable Energy Company (2009-2011); Counsellor, Economic Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2008); Representative of Israel to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme (2002-2006); Head of Economic Section, Embassy in Rome and Economic Counsellor to Italy, Malta and Albania (2002-2006); Deputy Director, Economic Department 2, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2000-2002); Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy in Bern (1997-2000); Deputy Chief of Mission, Liaison Office, Morocco (1995-1997); and Second Secretary, European Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1993-1994).

Mr. Rodgold holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and International Relations and a Master of Business Administration, both from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

He is fluent in English, French, German, Hebrew and Italian.
