Media representatives are invited to the

Ceremony of 10^th Award (2022) of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water

VIENNA 8 December (UN Information Service) – The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) is an international award with a focus on water-related innovation. Five prizes are awarded every two years, covering the entire water research landscape as a means to encourage research in finding solutions to water-related issues.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, 16:00 – 17:30 in conference room CR3 at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

The event will include remarks from:

• HRH Prince Abdullah bin Khaled bin Sultan, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the UN in Vienna
• HE Csaba Kőrösi, President of the UN General Assembly (virtually)
• Mr. Abdulrahman A. Al Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia
• Mr. Badran A. Al Omar, Council Chairman of PSIPW
• Mr. Abdulmalek A. Al Alshaikh, PSIPW Secretary General
• Mr. Niklas Hedman, Acting Director, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA)
