VIENNA, 30 June (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations (Vienna), Dorjraa Munkhtur, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Monica Juma.
During his career, Mr. Munkhtur has served in various capacities, among them:
Ambassador-at-Large for Security Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2023–2026); Minister-Counsellor, Embassy in Germany (2021–2023); Second Secretary, Embassy in Germany (2019–2021); Scientific Secretary, Institute for Strategic Studies under the National Security Council of Mongolia (2016–2019); Head of the Department for European and North American Studies, Institute for Strategic Studies (2013–2016); and Desk Officer, Department for Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2013).
Mr. Munkhtur holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster, Germany and a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Mongolia, School of International Relations.
He speaks English, German and Russian.
