VIENNA, 5 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations (Vienna), Maria Sebastián de Erice, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Sebastián de Erice, has served in various capacities, among them:
Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2021-2024); Deputy Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2021); Director of Institutional Relations, Marca España (2017-2018); Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy in Andorra La Vella, Andorra (2014-2017); Desk Officer for Official Travels and Visits, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2014); Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (2008-2010); and Desk Officer for Bilateral Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-2008).
Ms. Sebastián de Erice holds a Law Degree from the Catholic Institute of Business Administration, (ICADE) in Madrid.
