United Nations

Fifteen young leaders joined the second edition of the UN Youth Champions for Disarmament training programme run by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs with the support of Germany. The young people received training on disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control and their links to the Sustainable Development Goals, which empowered them to implement projects in their local communities.

Women ammunition technical experts are being trained to prevent ammunition diversion, illicit trafficking and unplanned ammunition depot explosions as well as key safety and security considerations for managing ammunition. The training is being organized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs in Vienna and its partners under the UN SaferGuard programme.
