VIENNA, 13 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Finland to the United Nations (Vienna), Nina Vaskunlahti, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Vaskunlahti has served in various capacities, among them:
Under-Secretary of State for International Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2019-present); Ambassador to India and Bangladesh (2016-2019); Ambassador to Türkiye (2012-2016); Director General, Department for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Ministry for Foreign Affairs; and Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Representation to the European Union (2004-2008).
Ms. Vaskunlahti holds a Master’s Degree in political sciences from the University of Turku, Finland.

The new Permanent Observer of the Council of Europe to the United Nations (Vienna), Hermine Poppeller, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
